2025 is off to an incredible start at HealthJoy, with a series of exciting product updates that are already making an impact!

This first quarter of 2025 was a busy but exciting one. Keep reading to learn more about the latest HealthJoy updates that are available to clients and members now!
In February, we launched the latest enhancements to our Data Insights Dashboard to empower benefits leaders with predictive data – enabling them to make smarter benefits decisions.
Benefits leaders are under increasing pressure to prove ROI and optimize cost-saving strategies. The latest enhancements give access to meaningful data in real-time, allowing employers to answer key questions like:
HealthJoy’s enhanced reporting – now available in the Data Insights Dashboard – solves this challenge by giving employers and their benefits consultants an interactive, on-demand way to track engagement, measure ROI and make more informed benefits decisions.

We’re committed to continuously investing in reporting and analytics, so this is the first of many reporting enhancements.
As of January 2025, all HealthJoy members have access to our new web experience.
This new feature provides members with another way to access their benefits—on any device, not just mobile. It offers the same personalized, easy-to-use experience, giving members more flexibility in how they interact with their benefits.
For employers, this expansion means greater access and increased engagement, driving better utilization of the benefits you’ve already invested in.
The web experience is just one more way we are increasing benefits accessibility for HealthJoy members – and there will be more updates to come! While the HealthJoy web experience is available now, it will continue to be enhanced over the next year.
The latest Member Health Goals report is available to download now! Every year we compile the data from our Member Health Goals survey which members fill out during their onboarding experience with HealthJoy.
Over 133,000 HealthJoy members responded this year, and the results revealed some significant trends. We uncovered a shocking 7.5x increase in cancer diagnoses and well over half of respondents (64%) said they are managing at least one chronic condition. Despite these numbers, only one-third said they plan to complete an annual physical, suggesting employees are delaying care, leading to higher healthcare costs.
This is a problem that cost containment measures alone won’t fix. Employers must focus on benefits engagement, and steerage – guiding members to the most cost-effective care options.

We have even more exciting product updates to roll out in the coming months. From expanding access to GLP-1 medications and integrating generative AI, to enhancing our Virtual Exercise Therapy program, this is shaping up to be an incredible quarter at HealthJoy!
Rising prescription drug costs remain a top concern for HR and benefits professionals. As employers navigate coverage decisions and seek ways to manage spending, finding solutions that improve affordability and access is critical.
Our mission is to help employers better manage pharmacy spend while providing employees with access to affordable medications.
HR and benefits professionals are well aware of the growing demand for GLP-1 medications and the rising costs that come with them. GLP-1 medications are expensive for employers and employees alike. Some insurance programs don’t cover them at all, and others require specific medical diagnoses to be approved. For employers evaluating whether to cover these medications, the financial burden can seem daunting.
With this new partnership, employers can meet employee demand for GLP-1s without incurring the cost.
Employees will also be able to connect with a doctor via video or phone appointment, from the comfort of their own home. Once prescribed, employees can purchase the medication at a discount. This means significant savings on prescriptions for employers, as employees can bypass traditional medical plans to access the medications they need at a lower cost.
We’ll be piloting this with a small subset of members who have previously indicated an interest in using GLP-1s in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information and to learn more about the partner we chose to work with!
In addition to improving affordability and access to GLP-1s, we are releasing an enhancement to our Rx Savings feature in April. This enhancement will allow us to automate how we suggest prescription savings opportunities for all medication types to our members within the HealthJoy app.
You may already be familiar with our virtual assistant, JOY. This spring, we’re taking her to the next level with Generative AI.
With this product enhancement, JOY will not only be able to summarize employees' benefits but also answer complex questions and remind members of available benefits as they chat with her. JOY will also seamlessly guide members towards more cost-effective and higher-quality care options based on their individual needs.

We are also enhancing our Virtual Exercise Therapy program in the coming quarter. It’s no secret that MSK claims are on the rise. A 2024 Business Group on Health study revealed that 75% of employers placed MSK claims in the top three cost-driving health conditions.
At HealthJoy, we’ve designed a brain-based approach to Virtual Exercise Therapy that can be done from home in just 15 minutes per day – resulting in 80% pain reduction even a year after completing the program.
Last year we rolled out our MSK pre- and post-surgery program to help prevent unnecessary surgeries and help with surgical recovery. This year we are rolling out a Movement Health and Injury Prevention program, designed to prevent the musculoskeletal injuries that cause chronic pain in the first place – helping members live healthier lives and helping employers contain healthcare costs.
This program will be available starting in June 2025.
