HealthJoy’s 2024 Summer Product Updates + Roadmap Preview

It’s been an exciting quarter here at HealthJoy, as we just celebrated an important milestone – our 10th anniversary!

In this blog post, we’ll look at some of our newest innovations, and take a sneak peek at our product roadmap and what’s to come for HealthJoy.

 

2024: First Half Review

In the first half of this year, we launched new partnerships and enhanced our product offering to better suit the needs of our clients and their employees. The healthcare industry is constantly changing.  We’re adapting to employees’ wants and needs so we can best serve our HealthJoy members now and in the future. 

Here’s a summary of some of the product updates we’ve made this year. 

 

Market-Leading Surgical Solution

We’re thrilled about our new partnership with Employer Direct Healthcare! We selected SurgeryPlus to be our surgery Centers of Excellence (COE) network partner.  

As the market-leading surgery COE solution, SurgeryPlus has hundreds of clients, including highly recognizable brands like CVS Health, The Home Depot and State Farm. 

By fully integrating this solution into our care navigation platform – rolling out to customers starting August 1, 2024 – we will help employers of all sizes offer the highest-quality surgical care, while still delivering significant savings.

SurgeryPlus contracts directly with providers at 60% lower rates than commercial pricing. This allows employers to achieve significant healthcare savings. In addition to the value they provide, all SurgeryPlus surgeons are required to go through a rigorous individual vetting process before even being considered for the network. Only surgeons in the top 15% of their specialty make the cut.

The quality of the surgeons is reflected in the industry-low 0.6% complication rate – which is impressive when compared to the industry average of 8-15%.

Find Care Feature Enhancements

Find Care is one of the most popular core features of our app – allowing members to locate high-quality, in-network proctors in their area – as well as virtual care options to meet their unique needs. Now, our self-serve search tool, Find Care, provides even more value for members when they’re searching for a provider or a facility. 

In partnership with Ribbon Health – a leading healthcare data platform whose data spans 99.9% of providers and facilities in the US – we now have integrated cost, quality and rating data inside our Find Care search tool. 

This enhancement helps each member make better-informed healthcare decisions, optimizing results for both employers and employees. 

This is just another way we have taken steps to adapt to employees’ wants and needs. 

 

Curalinc EAP Enhancements

At HealthJoy, we make it a priority to support whole-person wellbeing. Our holistic approach to wellness improves employees’ lives from every angle. 

Thanks to recent enhancements, our partner Curalinc’s EAP program has even more features to better serve our employer clients and their workforces. First, we’ve improved the member experience for accessing our EAP program. Members can now access the SupportLinc Portal via a single sign-on within the HealthJoy app. 

This means that employees can skip the extra step of inputting their company name each time when accessing the program – making it a more seamless user experience. 

Another enhancement is the new Addiction Care Navigator. It’s no secret that there’s a lot of stigma around substance use and seeking help when it’s needed. With Addiction Care Navigator, members can receive stigma-free, anonymous treatment for substance use. 

Starting with an evidence-based assessment, Addiction Care Navigator provides members with a risk analysis, personal recommendations and guidance toward appropriate care options for those needing treatment.

Lastly, our EAP program now offers Supervisor Connect – which helps managers and leaders build the skills and confidence they need to handle common workplace challenges. 

This program assesses a manager’s unique and individual strengths and provides them with tailored resources and one-on-one support to help develop core skills that enable them to build and lead high-performing teams long-term.
