As always, I’m excited to share some of HealthJoy’s latest product updates and enhancements, but I’m particularly excited about the timing of this post.
Our product organization is energized by the great time spent together in person at our Product Summit — hosted simultaneously in Chicago and Warsaw. And by last week's launch of our enhanced steering capabilities, which digitally drives greater engagement to the benefits you value most in your strategy.

When we talk with members, employers and our partners, we hear a consistent message: the sharp rise of point solutions has created confusion in the benefits space.
These point solutions offer ways to make care more affordable and improve health outcomes, often tailored to specific health conditions (e.g. diabetes, musculoskeletal, cancer, etc). This helps organizations tackle the needs of their people, but it has also created an influx of new tools that employees often aren’t aware of or sure how to use effectively.
Large employers now manage 15-20 health benefit vendors on average — leading to what many call point solution fatigue. This is when employees experience an overload of options and outreach.
It’s clear that organizations want to deliver an exceptional benefits experience, but how are employees expected to know when and how to use so many point solutions?
This is the question we posed to our product organization and they’ve been hard at work creating a way to address this growing problem head on.
That’s why we’re thrilled to have expanded our digital steerage capabilities to incorporate your non-HealthJoy point solutions, alongside the fantastic work being done by our Healthcare Concierge team!
This enhancement allows employers and benefits consultants to continue offering innovative point solutions that address health issues without adding to the confusion and fatigue.
These updates to the HealthJoy platform also enable proactive surfacing of select preferred vendors to employees, at scale — leading to supercharged engagement and savings.
When beta testing this feature, we collaborated with a partner with a population of 65,000+ members to increase utilization of their third–party surgical solution.
The result? HealthJoy drove 31% of total utilization and 43% of the partner’s total cost savings for the third-party surgical solution.
